Join us for a time to gather, mingle, or learn something new at our next Volunteer Gathering!
Saturday, October 4th: Join us to decorate a pumpkin for the annual staff (paid and unpaid) pumpkin decoration contest! We provide the foam pumpkins, you either provide the materials and decorate! We have limited materials available for use in education but if you want to get really creative, get with the other volunteers to create your design! We have 2 pumpkins... 1 for the teens and 1 for the adults to create together.
The voting will commence during all three Zoo Boo Bash Weekends, October 11th –12th , 18th – 19th , and 25th – 26th. Entries will be on display in the Bear House and guests will be given a ticket to vote for their favorite.
PUMPKIN DECORATING CONTEST RULES:
- Presentation must not exceed a total space of 24" x 24" (2 ft x 2 ft).
- Anything can be used to craft/ cut/ paint/ decorate your pumpkin. Be as creative as possibly.
- Additional objects/ items may be added to or around the pumpkin to complete your presentation.
- Please ensure that anything you use will not perish within the 3 weeks that it will be on display for ****
- Please come up with a "Display Name" for your pumpkin & write it down when you turn it in.
- Ex: "Gary the Snail"
- Ex 2: "Puffer Fish & Creeper Sidekick from the World of Minecraft"
- Please remember to keep it PG – nothing too scary, offensive, or inappropriate will be accepted.
